QSE ends Wednesday in decline
The banking sector topped the QSE’s decliners falling 0.35%

Mubasher: The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) ended Wednesday’s trading session in red territory, dragged down by the fall of five sectors.

The general index went down 48.22 points, or 0.46%, to 10,433.56 points.

The bourse’s liquidity decreased to QAR 152.7 million on Wednesday from QAR 225.5 million on Tuesday, while the trading volume levelled down to 4.4 million shares against 7.2 million in the previous session.

The banking sector topped the QSE’s decliners falling 0.35% due to Doha Bank’s 1.86% drop, while the industrial sector inched down as Investment Holding Group decreased by 1.10%.

Meanwhile, the goods and services sector headed the risers adding 0.21% as Medicare Group grew 1.70%, while the insurance sector inched up 0.10% due to Qatar Insurance’s 0.27% increase.

By the end of the session, the Commercial Bank of Qatar’s (CBQ) stock, which plunged 1.70%, led the QSE in terms of trading volume with 531,900 shares, generating QAR 21.9 million in liquidity.
