The ministry aims to exchange expertise in the fields of safety and professional health

Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian petroleum ministry has signed three memorandums of understanding (MoUs) with the world's largest oilfield services company Schlumberger Limited.

Upon the first agreement, the US-based firm will provide several training programmes for engineering and geology fresh graduates and students to develop their management, leadership, and technical skills, the ministry added in a statement on Thursday.

As per the second deal, the ministry said it aims to exchange expertise in the fields of safety and professional health and improve its performance and raise awareness of it.

The two aforementioned MoUs were signed by the CEO of the Egyptian General Petroleum Corporation (EGPC) Abed Ezz El-Regal and engineer Kareem Badawy, the representative of Schlumberger.

Meanwhile, the third deal, signed by Waleed Lotfy, the chairman of Petrojet and Badawy, intends to boost coordination between both firms in oil, gas, and petrochemical projects, the ministry highlighted.
