Cairo - Mubasher: Egypt plans to establish new railways between Luxor and Hurghada, and from 6th of October City to Aswan and Luxor.

The projects could be by cooperation between the Egyptian government and the China Civil Engineering Construction Corporation (CCECC), Egypt Independent reports.

Transportation minister Hesham Arafat met with CCECC representatives to discuss the implementation of the two projects through the public-private partnership (PPP) or the build-operate-transfer (BOT) system.

A Spanish consultation office has prepared the preliminary studies of the two projects, the minister noted.
