Cairo – Mubasher: Exports from Egypt to East Asia have increased by 126% in 2017 when compared to the prior year, according to a recent report by the Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics (CAMPAS).

Total exports from Egypt to countries in East Asia surged to EGP 41.8 billion in 2017 compared to EGP 18.5 billion in 2016, the report added.

India topped the countries importing from Egypt with EGP 16 billion in 2017.

Meanwhile, imports from East Asia to Egypt grew by 64.5% to EGP 300.7 billion in 2017 from EGP 182.8 billion in 2016.

China has topped the list of East Asian countries exporting to Egypt with a total of EGP 144.2 billion in 2017, a 60% growth when compared to 2016.
