Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: First Abu Dhabi Bank (FAB) announced it will refund customers who have been charged with AED 175 ($47.70) on their accounts by mistake.

Accordingly, the UAE's largest bank has received complaints from customers on social media over the past few days, Reuters reported.

“We are currently experiencing a system issue where a debit interest amount of AED 175 has been deducted from your account. The concerned team is currently working on the matter to resolve as soon as possible and reverse the charge,” the Abu Dhabi-based lender posted on Facebook.

FAB, listed on the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX), reported in October a 16% year-on-year rise in its profits for the third quarter of 2018, logging AED 3 billion.

From January to September, the bank posted a net profit of AED 9.1 billion, up 12% from the same period last year.
