Egypt gov't to move to New Administrative Capital end-2019

Cairo – Mubasher: Almost 50% of first phase construction in the New Administrative Capital has been completed, Egypt's assistant minister of housing said on Thursday.

Government bodies will be moved to the new capital by the end of this year, Khaled Abbas added on the sidelines of the International Property Show (IPS).

Abbas also noted that about 70% of the first phase’s facilities were completed, pointing out that it would be completed next June.

Delivery of the residential units in the new capital will commence in the second quarter of 2019, he added.

Egypt unveiled the establishment of the New Administrative Capital with $45 billion in investments to be injected over five to seven years during the Egypt Economic Development Conference (EEDC) that took place in Sharm El Sheikh on 13 March 2015.
