Cairo – Mubasher: Small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) portfolio at Banque Du Caire amounted to EGP 8.5 billion at the end of December, the bank’s head of SME banking said.

The bank aims to boost its SME portfolio to EGP 13 billion by the end of next December, Nader Saad told Mubasher on the sidelines of Canada Egypt Business Council’s (CEBC) conference.

The bank is currently in talks over obtaining facilities with several overseas institutions to be invested into SMEs, Saad emphasised.

He also revealed that the bank is considering EGP 600 million financing for around 200 clients.
