QSE ends Monday in green
The Qatar Stock Exchange’s (QSE) general index grew 17.99 points

Mubasher: The Qatar Stock Exchange’s (QSE) general index grew 17.99 points, or 0.17%, to 10,671.56 points on Monday.

The QSE’s liquidity surged to QAR 275.81 million on Monday, from QAR 229.42 million in the previous session, while trading volume retreated to 7.62 million shares, against 9.27 million in the previous session.

The banking sector led gainers, topped by the heavyweight Qatar National Bank (QNB) which rose 0.76%, while Qatar Islamic Bank surged 0.45% to QAR 10, its highest level in 10 years.  

The industrials sector rose 0.11%, headed by Qatar Electricity and Water which added 1.63%.

On the negative side, the real estate sector led decliners with 1.99%, pressured by Ezdan Holding Group and United Development which went down 3.21% and 0.95%, respectively.

The stock of Al Meera Consumer Goods led gainers with 4.34%, while Qatari German for Medical Devices’ stock headed fallers with 3.97.%.

QNB’s stock topped the QSE in terms of turnover with QAR 62.03 million, while Qatar Aluminum Manufacturing Company’s (QAMCO) stock, down 1.70%, registered the highest trading volume with 1.45 million shares.
