Cairo – Mubasher: QNB Al Ahli on Tuesday revealed that its investments in 2018 had reached EGP 39.9 billion ($2.23 billion).
Investments in 2018 were divided into financial investments available for sale worth EGP 2.3 billion and investments held until maturity worth EGP 36.58 billion, the bank said in a statement to the Egyptian Exchange (EGX).
Last year’s investments also include EGP292.10 million in subsidiaries and sister companies, the lender, which is a subsidiary of Qatar National Bank (QNB), added.
For the full year 2018, QNB Al Ahli logged EGP 7.2 billion in profits up from EGP 5.5 billion, it said in a statement released earlier on Tuesday. Returns from offered loans increased to EGP 30.5 billion in 2018 from EGP 24.5 billion in the previous year.
