Mubasher: Saudi Arabia has signed a agreement to provide Tunisia with a loan worth $500 million (TND 1.5 billion).

This loan will be used to finance Tunisia’s budget deficit, Tunis Afrique Presse (TAP) reported, citing the Ministry of Finance also known as Ministère des Finances Tunisien.

The meeting between the African and Asian parties included negotiations about enhancing mutual collaboration, especially in economic ones.

On 29 November 2018, Saudi Arabia reportedly approved giving Tunisia a loan worth $500 million.

On 16 December, Tunisian prime minister Youssef Chahed told Reuters that the oil-rich kingdom had pledged to $830 million in aid to his country.
