Mubasher: Arab nations’ talks over establishing a large free trade zone are on the verge of completion over the coming period, the secretary-general of the Arab League said on Sunday.

About 95% of negotiations have been finished in an effort to set up a full-fledged economic system to liberalise trade services in "the nearest time", Ahmed Aboul Gheit added in his opening speech at the Arab Economic and Social Development Summit in Beirut.

The official also expressed hope on accomplishing initiatives, projects, and programmes that boost economic integration among Arab countries.
