Dubai – Mubasher: The UAE’s vice president, prime minister, and Dubai’s ruler Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum on Sunday has announced launching projects which will worth AED 6.5 billion.

The projects include establishing two infrastructure investments, building a tunnel for stormwater, launching the first national environmental satellite, a facility to convert solid waste to energy, and developing traditional markets in Dubai, according to his official Twitter account.

The tunnel project will be the first of its kind in the Middle East region, while the facility that will convert solid waste to energy will be the largest and most updated one of its kind internationally, the Emirates News Agency (WAM) stated.

The satellite project will be carried out by Mohammed bin Rashed Space Centre in collaboration with Dubai Municipality, and it is expected to be finished by the end of first quarter of 2019.
