EnerQuip signs $850,000 deal with Kuwaiti oilfield firm
EnerQuip signed a $850,000 contract with a Kuwait-based oilfield services company.

Mubasher: EnerQuip, the torque machine solutions supplier for the oil and gas industry, on Wednesday announced signing an $850,000 contract with a Kuwait-based oilfield services company.

Under the deal, EnerQuip will supply a set of self-sufficient containerised workshops during the first quarter of 2019, Arabian Industry reported. The five containerised workshops, which include a power source, air conditioning and assembly and control units, will be complemented by a high torque machine designed and manufactured by EnerQuip.

EnerQuip stated these workshops would enable the Kuwaiti oilfield company to mobilise operations rapidly and maintain tools across the Middle East without the need for significant CAPEX investment.

“In areas with no existing infrastructure, these containerised workshops provide a comprehensive, cost-effective solution to maintain vital equipment," EnerQuip’s director Andrew Robins said.

In 2018, the torque machine and bucking unit manufacturer delivered over eight torque machines to the Middle East.

The Aberdeen-based company plans to establish a dedicated facility in the Middle East in order to provide a greater level of service for its clients, Robins noted.

"We’re experiencing a surge of activity in the region and putting boots on the ground is a natural next step to support our growing client base," the top official concluded.
