Dubai — Mubasher: Emirates Integrated Telecommunications Co (DU) announced on Tuesday that its chief financial officer Amer Kazim has resigned.

The UAE’s telecom operator said Kazim is leaving to take up a position at a Dubai government-owned organisation, according to a statement to the Dubai Financial Market (DFM).

Kazim, whose replacement hasn’t been named yet, will remain with DU till the end of the first quarter of 2019 to ensure a smooth handover of responsibilities and supervise the full-year 2018 financial results, the company added.

During the first nine months of 2018, DU’s net profit reached AED 1.41 billion, compared to AED 1.29 billion in the year-ago period.

By 11:14 am UAE time, the telecom firm’s stock inched down 0.20% to AED 5.08.
