Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian pound has remained stable against the US dollar at national banks early Sunday.

The USD has recorded around EGP 17.6 for buying and EGP 17.7 for selling at Egypt’s two largest state-run lenders, National Bank of Egypt (NBE) and Banque Misr.

The Commercial International Bank (CIB) offered the USD at EGP 17.6 for buying and EGP 17.7 for selling, whereas Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank Egypt (ADIB) provided the USD at EGP 17.63 for buying and EGP 17.73 for selling.

The EGP had seen a sudden jump against the greenback last week, exceeding 30 piasters, the first remarkable rise at Egyptian banks since May 2018.
