Mubasher: Gold settles lower on Wednesday, as the USD grew.

Comex April gold went down $4.8, or 0.4%, to close at $1,314.4 per ounce. 

The USD dollar index (DXY), which measures the US currency against a basket of six major currencies, went up 0.3% to 96.349.
