Blue chips drag down ADX at Monday’s close
The investment sector topped losers with 7.62%

Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) ended Monday’s trading session with negative performance, pressured by the real estate, energy and banks sector.

The general index went down 35.55 points, or 0.70%, ending the session at 5,046.46 points.

The DFM’s trading volume reached 31.934 million shares exchanged with a turnover of AED 167.83 million through 1,518 transactions.

The investment sector topped losers with 7.62% as Al Khaleej Investments and Waha Capital went down 9.33% and 8.02%, respectively.

Similarly, the real estate sector plunged 2.55% as Eshraq Properties and Aldar Properties levelled down 3.23% and 2.63%, respectively.

The energy sector dropped 0.93% as Abu Dhabi National Energy (TAQA) decreased 2.11%, while Dana Gas was down 1.94%.

The industrial sector was the bourse’s only gainer adding 1.30% on the back of  Ras Al Khaimah Ceramics’s 4.37% increase.
