Renault’s former boss Ghosn remains director

Mubasher: Carlos Ghosn, who has quit as Renault chairman and CEO, is still holding other positions within the French automaker and its alliance with Nissan.

“Renault wishes to specify that Mr. Ghosn resigned from his terms of office as chairman of the board of directors and chief executive officer, but remains, as of the date hereof, director of Renault SA,” the car giant said.

Ghosn resigned last month as chairman and CEO after his arrest last year in Japan for understating his pay and other financial misconduct at Renault’s partner Nissan.

Moreover, Ghosn remains a board member of Renault-Nissan BV, a Dutch joint venture that oversees the carmakers’ alliance, while he was replaced as the board’s chairman in agreement with the Japanese company, Renault said.

He also holds other positions at Alliance Rostec Auto BV and Renault do Brasil, the Boulogne-Billancourt-based car manufacturer added.
