Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) started Wednesday’s trading session in green territory on the back of foreign buying.
By 10:30 am Cairo time, the benchmark EGX30 index edged up 0.24% to 14,961.39 points, gaining 33.75 points
The small- and mid-cap EGX70 index levelled up 0.52% to 714.2 points, while the broader EGX100 index added 0.47% to 1,802 points and the equal-weighted EGX50 index went up 0.51% to 2,410 points.
Meanwhile, trading volume was around 57.7 million shares exchanged through 4,070 transactions at a turnover of EGP 131 million.
foreign investors were net buyers with EGP 2.5 million, while Egyptian and Arab investors were net sellers with EGP 1.7 million and EGP 799,600, respectively.
The heavyweight Commercial International Bank (CIB) added 0.12% to EGP 90.53.
