Dubai – Mubasher: The Dubai Financial Market (DFM) closed Wednesday’s trading session in green territory, pushed by the positive financial result of 2018.

The general index rose 7.78 points, or 0.31%, closing the session at 2,492.58 points.

The bourse’s turnover stood at AED 207.32 million on Wednesday, compared to AED 244.58 million on Tuesday, while trading volume fell to 162.19 million shares from 198.02 million in the previous session.

The consumer staples sector headed gainers with 2.9% as DXB Entertainments and Shuaa Capital went up 3.4% and 6.85%, respectively.

Similarly, the insurance sector levelled up 2.9% as Islamic Arab Insurance Company (SALAMA) jumped 6.18%.
