Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) closed Wednesday’s trading session in green territory.

The benchmark EGX30 index edged up 0.14%, finishing the session at 14,949.07 points.

The small- and mid-cap EGX70 index added 0.38% to 713.2 points, while the broader EGX100 index went up 0.31% to 1,800 points.

Likewise, the equal-weighted EGX50 index leveled up 0.23% to 2,403 points.

Trading volume amounted to 271.9 million shares exchanged at a turnover of EGP 1.33 billion through 33,650 transactions.

Arab investors were net sellers with EGP 85.1 million, while foreign and Egyptian investors were net buyers with EGP 54.12 million and EGP 30.9 million, respectively.

The heavyweight Commercial International Bank (CIB) rose 0.65% to EGP 91.01, with a turnover of EGP 193.2 million.

Market capitalisation closed at EGP 824.28 billion and gained EGP 2.2 billion.
