Mubasher: Kuwait Portland Cement recorded a net profit of KWD 2.49 million ($8.2 million) during the fourth quarter of 2018 compared to KWD 997,000 ($3.2 million) in the same period in 2017, a year-on-year surge of 150%.

In fiscal year 2018, Portland Cement achieved an increase of 12% in earnings to KWD 10.3 million from KWD 9.19 million in FY17, according to a bourse filing on Thursday.

Operating income grew by 4.3% to KWD 8.87 million in FY18 from KWD 8.5 million in FY17.

The board members recommended 100% of the capital as cash dividends or 100 fils per share for FY18.
