Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) closed Thursday’s trading session mixed below 15,000 points.

The benchmark EGX30 index edged up 0.24% to 14,984.46 points, while the small- and mid-cap EGX70 index shed 0.11% to 712.42 points.

The broader EGX100 index dipped 0.08% to 1,798.76 points, while the equal-weighted EGX50 index added 0.31% to 2,411.36 points.

Trading volume amounted to around 218.8 million shares exchanged through 29,900 transactions at a turnover of EGP 912.3 million.

Arab investors were net sellers with EGP 25.6 million, whereas foreign and Egyptian investors were net buyers with EGP 18.7 million and EGP 6.9 million, respectively.

The heavyweight Commercial International Bank (CIB) jumped 1.76% to EGP 74, with a turnover of EGP 121.4 million.

Market capitalisation closed at EGP 827.5 billion and gained EGP 1 billion.
