Dubai – Mubasher: The introduction of the value-added tax (VAT) in the UAE has not impacted hiring rates, according to a survey conducted by LinkedIn.

Around 84% of the respondents of human resource (HR) professionals in the UAE are still confident about their ability to recruit suitable candidates for businesses, the survey found.

Meanwhile, about 54% of the respondents said that job candidates were demanding above-average salaries since the levy of VAT.

Hiring rates increased in the UAE during the period from April to December 2018, as per the survey.

This increase can be interpreted in the light of some factors, among them business growth and the suitability of many candidates.
