Real estate boosts ADX at Sunday’s close
The real estate sector topped the gainers adding 3.02%

Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) ended Sunday’s trading session with positive performance, supported by the growth of the real estate and telecommunications sectors.

The general index rose 32.65 points, or 0.65%, ending the first session of the week at 5,069.07 points.

The ADX’s trading volume reached 48.45 million shares exchanged at a turnover of AED 109.51 million through 1,338 transactions.

The real estate sector topped the gainers adding 3.02% as Aldar Properties and Manazel Real Estate grew 3.64% and 3.42%, respectively.

Similarly, the telecommunications sector and its sole stock, Etisalat, went up 0.59% each, while the banks sector levelled up 0.51% as First Abu Dhabi Bank (FAB) and Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank (ADIB) advanced 0.81% and 0.47%, respectively.

The energy sector inched up 0.46% on the back of Dana Gas’ 0.37% increase.

Meanwhile, the industrial sector was the bourse’s only decliner falling 0.33% as Ras Al Khaimah Ceramics went down 1.03%.
