Cairo – Mubasher: Egypt has received requests recently from banks which are located in Europe and the GCC to start their activities after winning licences over the coming period, deputy governor of the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) Lobna Helal said.

Most of the banks which submitted their requests are European, Helal added on the sidelines of Nilepreneurs initiative.

Nilepreneurs is an initiative which is financed by the CBE, while it is organised by Nile University.

There are around 39 governmental, private, local, and foreign banks which are working currently in Egypt.
