Qatar Petroleum to ink $2.5bn deals on Monday – CEO
Under the deals, McDermott and Nakilat will build maritime platforms

Mubasher: Qatar Petroleum (QP) will sign contracts worth QAR 9 billion ($2.47 billion) on Monday with General Electric, Schlumberger, Mcdermott, and Qatar Gas Transport Company (Nakilat), the state-run firm’s CEO said.

Under the deals, McDermott and Nakilat will build maritime platforms, Reuters reported citing Saad Al-Kaabi as saying.

In the first half of 2018, the US-based McDermott International was awarded a detailed design contract for the expansion of North Field offshore jackets, the world's largest non-associated gas field, by QP.

The state-owned QP previously announced plans to invest $20 billion in oil and gas fields in the US within the coming five years.
