Blue chips push down ADX at Monday’s close
The real estate sector topped decliners with 1.15%

Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) ended Monday’s trading session with negative performance, dragged by the fall of the real estate, banks and energy sectors.

The general index fell 29.38 points, or 0.58%, ending the session at 5,039.69 points.

The ADX’s trading volume reached 38.67 million shares exchanged with a turnover of AED 140.144 million through 1,613 transactions.

The industrial sector was the bourse’s only riser adding 0.54% as Ras Al Khaimah Cement grew 4.17%.

On the flipside, the real estate sector topped decliners with 1.15% as Aldar Properties went down 1.75%, while the banks sector plunged 0.74% on the back of Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank’s (ADCB) 1.41% drop.

The energy sector inched down 0.26% as Dana Gas decreased by 0.49%.
