Mubasher: StartUp Bahrain Week will take place in Bahrain during the period from 3 to 7 March 2019, as the event will include a series of inspirational networking coverage for entrepreneurs, investors, and businesses, according to a recent press release.

This event comes as part of the efforts exerted to meet major goals within the Economic Vision 2030 as the kingdom focuses on shaping a regional hub for entrepreneurs.

StartUp Bahrain Week is considered a fast-emerging regional startup community that offers a platform of events to network and learn about the startup ecosystem in Bahrain.

“We are now seeing our financial services sector transform due to technology and disruptive startups, and we hope to see technology and startups play a role in other sectors as well, such as Manufacturing, taking us forward to the fourth industrial revolution,” CEO of the Bahrain Economic Development Board Khalid Al Rumaihi commented.

Bahrain’s public authority Tamkeen will be the strategic partner of StartUp Bahrain Week 2019

CEO of Tamkeen Ebrahim Janahi said, “StartUp Bahrain Week comes just weeks after Tamkeen announced the region’s first talent programme specifically for the financial services and technology industry focused on training and developing Bahrainis in the FinTech space, one of the fastest growing startup sectors.”

Tamkeen was founded in August 2006 to support Bahrain’s private sector as well as positioning it as the key driver of economic growth and development.

StartUp Bahrain Week is forecast to attract leading stakeholders including investors, corporates, accelerators, incubators, educational institutions, and government agencies.

Furthermore, over 2,500 delegates are expected to attend this event featuring more than 20 speakers and two startup competitions.

StartUp Bahrain Week will include Unbound Bahrain, Unreasonable Thinking Summit, Entrepreneurship Training, Bahrain Deep Tech Programme, StartUp Bahrain Ecosystem Tour, Urban Experience and Flat6Labs Bahrain.
