Brazil exports to Arab states total $1.2m in January
Egypt has imported goods valued at $146.61 million from Brazil

Mubasher: Arab countries have imported goods worth $1.19 million from Brazil during January 2019, according to a recent report by the Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce (ABCC).

Around 4, 270.70 tons of total Brazilian goods were exported to Oman, as 1,578.87 tons or 76% of the Brazilian exports to the Omani market were iron ores, the press release added.

Brazilian exports to the Middle East, including UAE, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Bahrain, and Oman continued to increase by the beginning of 2019 amid robust bilateral relations among these nations. 

UAE has imported $344.53 million worth goods from Brazil at 273.08 tons in January, while the imports of neighbouring Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, and Oman reached $157.20 million (305.80 tons), $14.22 million (169.04 tons), and $91.78 million (1,578.87 tons), respectively.

Egypt has imported goods valued at $146.61 million from Brazil at 510.61 tons in January 2019, ABCC’s reported added.

President of the ABCC Rubens Hannun commented, “We are upbeat that the same upward trend will be recorded in the coming months and years as Brazil and Arab nations remain committed to increasing their trade alliance with each other.”
