EGX ends Tuesday mixed; market cap sheds EGP 1.5bn
EGX30 index shed 0.47%, finishing the session at 15,155 points

Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) closed Tuesday’s trading session on a mixed note.

The benchmark EGX30 index has extended its early losses and shed 0.47%, finishing the session at 15,155 points.

The small- and mid-cap EGX70 index levelled up 0.12% to 721.9 points, whereas the broader EGX100 index inched up 0.05% to 1,822 points.

The equal-weighted EGX50 index slipped 0.31% to 2,445 points.

Trading volume amounted to nearly 271.2 million shares exchanged at a turnover of EGP 964.22 million through 28,310 transactions.

Foreign investors were net sellers with EGP 69.27 million, while Egyptian and Arab investors were net buyers with EGP 42.62 million and EGP 27.27 million, respectively.

The heavyweight Commercial International Bank (CIB) slid 0.8% to EGP 74.36, with a turnover of EGP 33.49 million.

Market capitalisation closed the session at EGP 836.4 billion, losing EGP 1.5 billion.
