Cairo – Mubasher: A consortium comprised of six Egyptian contractors has won the construction of the biggest commercial and entertainment park project in the New Administrative Capital, a top official at one of these firms said.

The six construction firms are Arab Contractors, Hassan Allam, Orascom Construction, Redcon Construction, El Rowad, and Al-Marasem International for Development, Amwal Al Ghad reported, citing the official.

The alliance has been assigned by Egypt’s Ministry of Housing to build the first phase of the mega project named The Green River within a two-year period, the source added.

“The first phase will include a number of infrastructure and road works besides landscapes and gardens,” he said, adding that the second phase is to feature a bunch of cinemas, cafes, restaurants, and major hotels.

The first phase will witness the establishment of infrastructure, road works, landscapes, and gardens, while the second phase will feature a number of cinemas, cafes, restaurants, and major hotels.

The Green River has a built-up area (BUA) ranging between 7% and 10%, the official source noted.

Egyptian Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouly previously stated that all of the new capital’s neighborhoods will be linked to The Green River.
