Boursa Kuwait’s indices close Wednesday mixed
The oil and gas segment topped three gainers with 1.45%

Mubasher: The indices of Boursa Kuwait closed Wednesday’s session with a mixed performance for the third time in a row this week in line with increasing trading value and volume.

The All-Share Market added 0.22% or 11.45 points to close at 5,232.11 points, the Premier Market added 0.37%, while the Main Market retreated 0.13%.

The mixed performance witnessed on Wednesday reflects the anticipation and cautious atmosphere amid investors focusing on penny stocks in the Main Market in Boursa Kuwait, while operating and leading shares in the Premier Market have a state of purchasing momentum, capital market analyst Badar Al Bader told Mubasher.

The oil and gas segment topped three gainers with 1.45%, while the consumer services sector led the losers with 0.5%.

Sanam headed the winners with 7.4%, while Aqar Real Estate led the losers with 7.4%.

Boursa Kuwait’s turnover increased by 37.5% to KWD 31.18 million on Wednesday from KWD 22.67 million in the prior session after the trading volume grew by 4.5% to 177.64 million shares from 169.96 million.

The Gulf Bank of Kuwait (GBK) posted the highest liquidity of KWD 7.82 million, the stock added 1.5%.

AUB Bahrain was the most active stock on which 28.88 million shares were traded, the stock went up 2.4%.
