Mubasher: Honeywell, listed on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE), has opened a new facility in Kuwait in the field of oil and gas, according to a recent press release.

This new facility will be Kuwait’s first certified in-country manufacturing, integration, and testing centre for advanced automation technologies in oil and gas.

Located in Mina Abdullah in southern Kuwait, Honeywell Customer Solutions Center was officially inaugurated by Honeywell chairman and CEO Darius Adamczyk and the deputy chairman and CEO of Kuwait Petroleum Corporation (KPC) Hashem Hashem.

“Honeywell is the first company to build ‘Made in Kuwait’ solutions to power digital transformation across the country’s growing oil, gas and petrochemical sectors. The center enables product assembly and customer testing and acceptance to be consolidated under one roof, making it easier and faster for customers to deploy new technologies,” according to the press release.

The new centre comes as part New Kuwait Vision 2035 goals and KPC Vision 2040, as it will help transform Kuwait into a world-leading manufacturer in the downstream oil and gas industry.

“Honeywell is a committed supporter of Kuwait’s vision to boost energy production, introduce new technologies, develop human capital, and grow key industrial sectors,” Adamczyk said.

Meanwhile, Hashem said, “Working with premier partners like Honeywell enables us to enhance our capabilities and develop human capital, which will help ensure we are well placed to meet the growing and constantly evolving demands of global energy markets.”
