TASI grows 51 pts at Wednesday's close
TASI’s traded value declined to SAR 1.67 billion on Wednesday

Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) closed Wednesday's trading session in green territory after its benchmark Tadawul All-Share Index (TASI) rose 50.64 points, or 0.6%, to close at 8,567.24 points.

TASI’s traded value declined to SAR 1.67 billion on Wednesday, its second lowest level in 2019 after it registered SAR 1.63 billion in this year’s first session, against SAR 2.35 billion in the previous session.

Meanwhile, the main market’s trading volume retreated to 75.2 million shares, compared to 105.88 million on Tuesday.

The food production sector gained 1.8%, while the consumer services and public facilities and utilities added 1.6% and 0.9%, respectively.

On the other hand, consumer durables and energy sectors retreated 0.28% and 0.04%, respectively.    

The stock of Saudi Steel Pipe topped risers with 3.5%, while Saudi Investment Bank's stock led decliners and slid 2.1%.

Saudi Basic Industries Corp’s stock led TASI in terms of trading value after generating SAR 150.33 million, while the stock of Abdullah Abdul Mohsen Al Khodari Sons registered the highest traded volume after 8.14 million shares were exchanged.

Similarly, NOMU, the main index of the Nomu-Parallel Market, rose 28 points, or 0.8%, to close at 3,453.74 points.

NOMU’s trading value amounted to SAR 1.19 million on Wednesday, against SAR 1.24 million in the previous session, while trading volume registered about 62,830 shares, compared to nearly 56,250 shares on Tuesday.

Thob Al Aseel’s stock was Nomu’s best performer with 2.2%, while the stock of Al-Omran Industrial Trading was the worst performer after declining 2.5%.
