Mubasher: Gold settled higher on Friday, as the US dollar went down.

Comex gold, for April delivery, rose $5, or 0.4%, to close at $1,332.8 per ounce, adding 0.8% for the week.

By 7:28 pm GMT, the USD index (DXY), which measures the US currency against a basket of six major currencies, declined 0.13% to 96.48.
