Cairo – Mubasher: AIG Egypt Insurance Co has resumed the issuance of a complementary insurance policy on cars after suspending it in 2017.

The firm has issued complementary insurance policies on a fleet of more than 500 cars of one of the foreign pharmaceutical companies in the Egyptian market, according to a statement.

The year-term policy, implemented as of 1 January, could be renewed for another year as long as the pharmaceutical company will pay the premium.

In November 2017, AIG Egypt announced halting auto insurance for individuals and companies, as well as family and housing protection insurance as of April 2018.
