Riyadh – Mubasher: The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) has cancelled the exclusive rights held by beIN Sports to air Asian continent matches in Saudi Arabia.

Qatar-based beIN Sports’ “illegal broadcasting” and inability to obtain the necessary licences to broadcast Asian matches in the kingdom forced the Asian football's governing body to take this decision, the Saudi Arabian Football Federation (SAFF) said in a statement.

These matches will be broadcasted in Saudi Arabia through the AFC’s platforms gradually, starting with Asian Champions League group match between Saudi team Al Hilal and Qatari team Al Duhail on Tuesday.

SAFF called on all international federations to take similar measures against beIN Sports.
