Various countries banned flights by Boeing 737 MAX jets

Riyadh – Mubasher: A Saudi official has denied that the kingdom listed any Boeing 737 MAX planes in its aircraft registry.

Various countries banned flights by Boeing 737 MAX jets over its airspace after an Ethiopian Boeing 737 MAX jet crashed, resulting in 157 casualties.

“The skies of the kingdom are clear of this type of planes,” Reuters reported on Wednesday, citing a Saudi official as saying.

Boeing 737 MAX suspenders included the UK, China, Indonesia, and Ethiopia. GCC countries such as Oman announced a similar move on Tuesday, while Kuwait suspended the Boeing jets on Wednesday.

Egypt also banned Boeing 737 MAX model aeroplanes from landing and taking off at Egyptian airports.
