Boursa Kuwait closes Thursday on mixed note
NBK posted the highest liquidity of KWD 104.26 million

Mubasher: The indices of Boursa Kuwait closed Thursday’s session with mixed performance in line with a leap in liquidity.

The All-Share index went up 0.84% or 44.3 points to reach 5,346.81 points.

The Premier Market index added 1.2% or 67 points to 5,667.03 points.

Meanwhile, the Main Market edged down 0.05%.

The overview of FTSE index on Thursday impacted the stock exchange positively, with the Premier Market acquiring 5% of the turnover, capital market analyst Moustafa Al Jarhi told Mubasher.

Boursa Kuwait’s liquidity jumped by 742% to KWD 195.46 million on Thursday from KWD 23.72 million in the previous session after the trading volume grew by 357% to 482.97 million shares from 105.7 million.

The banking segment led the gainers with 1.3%, while the consumer goods sector led the decliners with 0.52%.

Tamdeen Investment was the top winner with a rise of 14.39%, while Sanam led the losers with a decline of 9.09%.

NBK posted the highest liquidity of KWD 104.26 million, the stock added 2.75%.

AUB Bahrain was the most active stock on which 175.4 million shares were traded, the stock added 1.98%.
