QSE falls 107 pts Sunday amid low liquidity
The QSE’s liquidity retreated to QAR 193.74 million on Sunday

Mubasher: The Qatar Stock Exchange’s (QSE) fell 107.45 points, or 1.08%, to close at 9,863.10 points on Sunday.

The QSE rose 2.14% to finish at 9,970.55 points on Thursday, supported by FTSE Russell’s quarterly review, which included the addition of seven firms.

The QSE’s liquidity retreated to QAR 193.74 million on Sunday, from QAR 1.43 billion in the previous session, while trading volume declined to 8.31 million shares, against 39.36 million on Thursday.

The industrials sector fell 1.22% after Mesaieed Petrochemical Holding plunged 5.48%.

Similarly, the banking sector went down 0.78% as the heavyweight Qatar National Bank (QNB) dropped 0.79%.

The real estate sector led risers and grew 3.84%, topped by Ezdan Holding which advanced 7.36%.

United Development’s stock, which upped 0.77%, spearheaded the QSE in terms of trading volume and value after 1.65 million shares were exchanged at a turnover of QAR 21.41 million.
