Mubasher: The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) opened Monday’s trading session in green territory.
By 09:50 am Qatar time, the general index grew 24.52 points, or 0.25%, to 9,887.35 points.
The QSE’s liquidity reached QAR 16.29 million, distributed over nearly 920,170 shares through 794 transactions.
The real estate sector led risers and went up 2.52% as Ezdan Holding rose 5.42%.
Meanwhile, the banking sector increased 0.47% after the heavyweight Qatar National Bank (QNB) grew 1.07%.
On the other hand, the transportation sector fell 0.48%, pressured by Qatar Gas Transport (Nakilat) which dropped 0.88%.
United Development’s stock, which upped 2.69%, spearheaded the QSE in terms of trading volume and value after 525,270 shares were traded at a turnover of QAR 6.93 million.
