QSE grows 110 pts at Monday’s close
The real estate sector rose 2.72%

Mubasher: The Qatar Stock Exchange’s (QSE) general index grew 109.58 points, or 1.11%, to close at 9,972.68 points on Monday.

The QSE’s liquidity climbed to QAR 322.96 million on Monday, from QAR 193.74 million in the previous session, while trading volume rose to 9.02 million shares, compared to 8.31 million on Sunday.

The real estate sector rose 2.72% after Ezdan Holding advanced 3.98%.

Similarly, the banking sector went up 1.57%, as the heavyweight Qatar National Bank (QNB) increased 1.47%.

On the other hand, the transportation sector fell 0.59% after Qatar Gas Transport (Nakilat) and Qatar Navigation (Milaha) retreated 1.03% and 0.68%, respectively.

Qatar for Cinema and Film Distribution led risers after adding 4.56%, while Al Meera Consumer Goods headed fallers and declined 4.98%.

United Development’s stock, which added 2.69%, led the QSE in terms of trading volume with 1.7 million shares, while QNB’s stock registered the highest trading value of QAR 74.42 million.
