Faisal Islamic Bank Egypt’s business volume up 13.7% in February
The bank’s total assets increased by 13.4% to EGP 94.3 billion last month

Cairo – Mubasher: Faisal Islamic Bank of Egypt on Monday posted a 13.7% year-on-year growth in its business volume in February, recording EGP 95.98 billion from EGP 84.4 billion.

The bank’s total assets increased by 13.4% to EGP 94.3 billion last month, versus EGP 83.18 billion in the year-ago period, according to a filing to the Egyptian Exchange (EGX).

Meanwhile, the Islamic lender’s current accounts and saving schemes rose by 11% at a value of EGP 79.5 billion, while its liquid assets rose by 11.6% last month to EGP 5.07 billion.

Faisal Islamic Bank previously reported an EGP 2.5 billion in net profit for 2018, versus EGP 1.77 billion in 2017.

The shariah-compliant lender logged EGP 2.519 billion in standalone profits last year, compared to EGP 1.722 billion in 2017.
