QSE ends Tuesday in red
The QSE’s liquidity rose to QAR 406.5 million on Tuesday

Mubasher: The Qatar Stock Exchange’s (QSE) general index went down 0.16% to 9,957.03 points on Tuesday, from 9,972.6 points on Monday.

The QSE’s liquidity rose to QAR 406.5 million on Tuesday, against QAR 322.96 million in the previous session, while trading volume climbed to 13.55 million shares, compared to 9.02 million on Monday.

The real estate sector led decliners and slid 4.12% after Ezdan Holding and Mazaya Qatar Real Estate Development fell 7.49% and 0.28%, respectively.

Meanwhile, the banking sector went down 0.85%, while the transportation and telecommunications sectors declined 0.57% and 0.43%, respectively.

On the other hand, the goods and services sector topped gainers after adding 0.99%, followed by the industrials and insurance sectors which rose 0.84% and 0.69%, respectively.

United Development’s stock, which gained 2.54%, registered the highest trading volume of 2.07 million shares at a turnover of QAR 28.17 million, while Qatar Fuel’s (Woqod) stock, which upped 2%, spearheaded the QSE in terms of turnover with QAR 52.89 million after nearly 274,000 shares were exchanged.
