TASI hits 43M high, Nomu slides at Thursday’s close
The banking sector led gainers after adding 1.5%

Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) finished Thursday’s trading session with positive performance after its benchmark Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) surged 68.14 points, or 0.8%, to 8,708.66 points, registering its highest level in 43 months.

TASI’s liquidity fell to SAR 2.77 billion on Thursday, from SAR 3.03 billion on Wednesday, while traded volume stood at 118.73 million shares, down from 164.17 million.

The banking sector led gainers after adding 1.5%, followed by the food and beverages, and materials sectors with 1.1%, and 0.33%, respectively. 

On the other hand, the insurance sector was the worst performer with 0.95%, and the pharmaceuticals sector shed 0.9%.

Alkhabeer REIT Fund’s stock led losers with 4.1%, while Al Ahsa Development Company’s (ADC) stock topped risers with 2.9%.

Al Rajhi Bank’s stock spearheaded the main market in terms of trading value with SAR 292.48 million, while the stock of Abdullah Abdul Mohsen Al Khodari Sons Company posted the highest traded volume with 10.8 million shares.

In the meantime, NOMU, the main index of the Nomu secondary market, tumbled 15.29 points, or 0.4%, to close the last session of the week at 3,652.69 points.

Nomu’s turnover slid to SAR 1.5 million, from SAR 2.46 million, while trading volume reached 86,710 shares, down from 151,070 in the session before.

Baazeem Trading Co’s stock led losers with 3.1%, while the stock of Abdullah Saad Mohamed Abo Moati for Bookstores Company was the best performer with 0.2%.

Raydan Co’s stock led the parallel market in terms of volume and value after 36,510 shares were exchanged, generating a turnover of SAR 542,840.
