Mubasher: Energy Information Administration (EIA) reported on Thursday that the US natural gas inventories fell by 47 billion cubic feet (Bcf) in the week ended 15 March, totalling 1,143 Bcf.

Stockpiles were 315 Bcf less than past year’s figure, while they were 556 Bcf below the five-year average of 1,669 Bcf.

A revision to the figures from the week ended 8 March showed that stockpiles amounted to 1,190 Bcf, instead of 1,186 Bcf.

This reflected a revised net drop of 200 Bcf, as per shown by the EIA figures

Following the release of the data, Nymex natural gas futures dipped 0.28% to $2.81 per million British thermal units (MMBtu).
