ADX grows 130 pts in week on banks, energy
The energy sector gained 2.85%

Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange’s (ADX) general index went up 129.89 points, or 2.6%, to 5,127.45 points in a week, pushed by the banking and energy sectors.

The banking sector rose 4.19%, as First Abu Dhabi Bank (FAB) and Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank (ADCB) increased by 4.69% and 4.13%, respectively.

The energy sector gained 2.85% after Dana Gas levelled up 6.15%, while the telecommunication sector and its only stock, Etisalat, added 0.12% each.

On the other end of the spectrum, the real estate sector lost 2.04%, as Aldar Properties declined 2.59%.

The ADX’s trading volume reached 233.62 million shares over the week, while the market’s liquidity hit AED 700.304 million.
