Cairo – Mubasher: El-Nasr Company for Intermediate Chemicals (NCIC) has signed an agreement with Germany's Thyssenkrupp to build a nitrogenous fertiliser complex in Egypt’s Ain El-Sokhna.

NCIC is an affiliate of Egypt’s National Service Projects Organization (NSPO).

The new complex is planned to include six factories, according to the Middle East News Agency (MENA).

The project is aimed at the maximisation of the use of available economic resources and increase the production of nitrogenous fertilisers in order to meet local market needs and export the surplus to world markets.

NCIC’s chairman said that the project would provide a base of qualified technical cadres in the petrochemical field.
