Mubasher: Gold settled lower on Wednesday despite the decline in the US dollar.   

Comex June gold declined $0.1, or less than 0.1%, to close at $1,295.3 per ounce.

By 08:09 pm GMT, the US dollar index (DXY), which measures the US currency against a basket of six major currencies, levelled down 0.24% to 97.08.
